I’d like you to meet Joe. He is one of the co-founders and directors of Mojos Clothing.
If you met him you’d probably think he was found in the wild after being brought up by a snow leopard, or some form of a wild beast. This sadly isn’t the case, but his passion for snow would say otherwise. He’s completed 3 ski seasons in Val d’Isere, one which he successfully became a qualified snowboarding instructor.
Now just because he can teach people to snowboard, it doesn’t mean you’ll find him in the park pulling an impressive backflip off the black jump, or any jump for that matter, but for all intensive purposes, you’ll see him on the beginner jumps just failing a 180, but complaining that it must be because of his board. Either this, or you’ll find him scaling and leaping off massive (1 meter..) drops, where he subsequently lands on a rock, and breaks his board. In any case, you’ll certainly find him in the snow!
Joe’s passion for the snow is more than just embracing the winter days with knee deep powder, he loves everything about the mountains in general; the life, the people and more importantly, the fashion. Both our directors can tell you that, as previous seasonaires, fashion in the mountains isn’t what it is like back in England, or anywhere else for that matter. Colours, shapes, awkward looks are all something that go down a treat in the mountains, and so for someone that just looks awkward in normal day to day life, Joe knows his winter AND summer fashion like nobody else. He has managed to use his experience and knowhow to sculpt a summer and winter range that’s not just accessible for the seasonaire, but for those who just love skiing, but sadly can’t make it out for the full season.
Our summer range was inspired by both directors, but Joe also has spent a lot of his time working in Surf shacks and hidden hideaways in Asia, therefore knows those extra little tweaks that make the Mojo summer range so unique and affordable for everyone.
He will be travelling the UK with Mojos Clothing this winter attending fairs at a mass amount of universities to help spread the Mojo word. Needless to say he won’t be turning down a trip to join the universities on their alpine holiday adventures.
So, get used to him, remember his face, as you will all be hopefully seeing him a lot more in the future.
Joe has his Mojo, where’s yours?
(You'll be able to find the next upcoming blog about Jamie, our other co-founder and director by the end of the week)
